• Notes

  Edgar was first a superintendent of schools in Dodge County, Minnesota. He then studied dentistry at the University of Minnesota. His daughter Ruth was born in their home on what is now the University campus in Minneapolis, while he was a student. He was called "Dad" by his fellow dentistry students, because he was so much older than they. [4]
